Viera Janárceková

Viera Janárceková ( born September 23, 1951 in Svit ) is a Slovak living in Germany composer, musician, pianist, music educator and painter. She is a representative of the contemporary new music.

Life

Viera Janárceková studied from 1956 to 1961 piano at the conservatories of Bratislava and from 1962 to 1967 Cello and Piano in Prague at Ilona Štěpánová - Kurzova. In 1971 she moved to Germany and continued with Rudolf Firkušný in Lucerne, Switzerland continue their studies. Since 1981 she has worked as a freelance composer and pianist. Starting from first traditionally -oriented songs they gradually developed an experimental, idiosyncratic style of " new music ". Characterized this style is by their corresponding idiosyncratic notation.

In 1987, Viera Janárceková won first prize in the competition for composers of the city of Unna in North Rhine -Westphalia, and in 1988 was awarded for her composition "Songs on the run " for soprano and ensemble the Fanny Mendelssohn Prize. In 1992, she was "5 String Quartet " and in 1997 her " 6 String Quartet " premiered by the Kairos Quartett in Berlin. In 1995 she wrote her book " Cinderella Trio". Their cellist Bach appropriation is from the year 2000, entitled " Quadratura ". They also created commissioned works and contributions to broadcasting. 2004 their commissioned work " wabi sabi " was first performed in Brandenburg.

Also in Slovakia, she received several prestigious music awards. The lecturer of the University of Kassel Roswitha Aulenkamp published in Kassel Furore Verlag the book Viera Janárceková - Interview.

Viera Janárceková lived a long time with the writer Ulrich Holbein withdrawn in a Kate in Allmutshausen in Homberg ( Efze) in crumpled. Today she lives and works in Bamberg.
