Viera Tomanová

Viera Tomanová ( born February 5, 1948 in Bratislava) is a Slovak politician. She was a member of the SMER and Minister of Labour of the Fico government of 2006 to 2010.

Career

She studied Economics at the University of Economics in Bratislava and Social Sciences at the University of Trnava. She then worked for four years as chief secretary to the Director of PZCR Javolina organization in Bratislava. After that, she spent four years as the head of the department of social, labor and housing market of MNV in Bratislava - Petržalka. From 1982 to 1986 she led a retirement home in Bratislava. According to this position, she worked for a year as a consul of the areas social and labor market policies for the city of Bratislava. From 1988 to 2003 she worked at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Slovak Republic and has appeared there as Adviser to the Minister Peter Magvaši and as head of the State Council in appearance. From 2006 to 2010 she was a member of the Slovak Cabinet of Fico and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. It also participates in several Slovak colleges and universities since 1994, high school teacher.
