Vihiers

Vihiers is a commune with 4315 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Maine -et -Loire in the Pays de la Loire. It belongs to the district of Saumur and the Canton Vihiers.

The municipality was formed from the Altgemeinden Vihiers Vihiers, Saint- Hilaire -du -Bois and Le Voide; thereby retained Saint- Hilaire and Le Voide de status of a " commune associée ".

Neighboring communities of Vihiers are Montilliers in the north, Cernusson in the northeast, Trémont in the east, Nueil -sur -Layon and Les Cerqueux -sous- Passavant in the Southeast, Saint -Paul -du -Bois in the south, La Plaine in the southwest, Coron and La Salle -de- Vihiers in the west and Valanjou in the northwest.
