Vijay (actor)

Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar ( born June 22, 1974 in Chennai, India) is a Tamil actor. He is also known as Ilaya Thalapathy ( young commander ).

Characteristics

He is the son of SA Chandrasekaran, a producer, writer and director. Vijay's mother Shoba is a well-known singer and writer in Tamil Nadu. In August 1999 he married Sangeetha Sornalingam, a Sri Lankan Tamil woman, with whom he has two children.

Career

Joseph Vijay studied at Loyola College in Chennai Visual Communication. His first Tamil film Naalaya Theerpu came at the end of the year 1992 in the cinemas. Exactly one year later in 1993 Senthoorapandi was published in December. At the age of 20 he had his first film success with Rasigan. With Kadhalukku Mariyadhai about five years after his debut, he managed to breakthrough. The famous film director from Kerala was directed by Fazil. The best known and most successful films are POOVE Unakkage (1996 ), Kadhalukku Mariyadhai (1997), Kushi (2000), Ghilli (2004) and Pokkiri (2007). Most recently, he starred opposite Trisha Krishnan, Suman and Vivek in Dharanis film Kuruvi starring. His next project Villu, in which the renowned choreographer, dancer and actor Prabhudeva has directed, was released in January 2009. It was the second time that Prabhudeva and Vijay worked together for a film, most recently they have been successful working for Pokkiri. He played 2012 in a Murugadas project and released the film ' Thuppaki "which was also a very successful film.
