VIJFtv launched in October 2004 as the second television station SBS Belgium and sister channel VT4. The first broadcast that aired, was a football game. On the way they wanted to ensure that men turn on the transmitter. He belonged to 7 June 2011 on the broadcasting group ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. Since 8 June 2011, the station in the hands of Sanoma Media, Corelio NV and the Waterman & Waterman CVA.

The program range of the transmitter is aimed at a female audience, but also lifestyle programs, series and movies are broadcast, the men are interested.

In January 2006 VIJFtv doubled its broadcast time and since then transmits 24 hours daily.
