Viktoria Forst

The FC Viktoria Forest is a former football club from the town of Forst (Lausitz ). It was founded in 1901 and existed until the end of World War II. In the 1920s, Victoria forestry qualified several times for the final round of the German soccer championship.

History

The club was founded in 1901. He was one of the leading clubs in the Southeast German Football Association. Victoria Forest won the 1925 Championship of South-East Germany and was in the 1926 runner-up behind the Breslauer SC 08 This one qualified for the finals of the German Cup. In the German Cup in 1922, they lost in the quarterfinals 0-1 against SV north -northwest 98 Berlin on the square of the BFC Viktoria in Berlin. They qualified for this final round just as runner-up, because at the end of the regional championship three more teams were equal on points. Due to time constraints of the Regional Association convened at an early extraordinary qualifying match between FC Viktoria Forestry and the United Breslauer Sportfreunde which won the Forster 6-1. In 1933 the merger with Fortuna forest to Victoria Fortuna Forest. In the spring of 1934 it was renamed to FC 1901 forest. On the successes of previous years, however, it was not able.

The stadium of Viktoria forest was located in the former district of mountains east of the Neisse. After the Second World War, the territory fell to Poland. All buildings, public buildings and streets were demolished in order to obtain building materials for the reconstruction of the interior. Thus, the FC Viktoria forest suffered the same fate as the FC Askania forest, because a foundation was neither German nor on the Polish side.
