Vilhelmina

Vilhelmina ( South Sami: Vualtjere ) is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Västerbotten County and the historic province of Lapland. Vilhelmina lies on the River Ångermanälven and is the capital of the municipality of the same name.

History

Until 1799 it was known as Volgsjö, then he was sent to the Swedish Queen Frederika Dorothea Wilhelmina of Baden, the king Gustav IV Adolf woman named.
