As in most communities of Switzerland, the legislature is the one or two times a year passing community meeting, there is no town hall, and the Municipal House is the representative building of the political community.

Germany

In Germany, the seat of the municipality is called the Town Hall. An example of a historic urban community house as a residence for municipal employees is the Municipal House Westerhüsen.

Some communities, particularly local communities, also have ( secular ) community centers as a venue for community, citizens and associations; these are sometimes - sometimes in contrast to the church parish hall - also known as the village hall.

Austria

In Austria, the corresponding building of the town hall is called the town hall or city hall.
