Vilnius Jesuit High School

The Jesuit High School Vilnius (Lit.: Vilniaus Jezuitu gimnazija ) based in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius is a guided Jesuit higher education institution for boys and girls. The school sees itself in the Jesuit educational tradition and is located directly next to St. Casimir's Church and the Town Hall of Vilnius in the center of Vilnius Old Town. It is one of the best schools in Lithuania and is funded by the Foreign Office. Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the school already.

History

The Jesuit High School in Vilnius was founded in 1570 by Jesuit Collegium Vilnense Societati Jesus.

In 1997 there were the first high school graduates, and since 1998 there is a strong partnership with the College of St. Blaise.
