Vilnius Lyceum

The Lyceum Vilnius ( Vilniaus Licėjus, former Lyceum of Natural and Technical Sciences Vilniaus tiksliųjų, gamtos ir technikos mokslų licėjus ) is a Lithuanian secondary school in the municipality of Vilnius, a school of general education. It operates according to its own statute as amended on 31 October 2003. Official symbol of the school is a stylized Pegasus in white Phon.

The Lyceum was founded in 1990 in the Širvintų -Straße 82. It is a public, co-educational school, which was aligned consciously following the example of Western European schools.

The school has 37 full-time and 13 part-time teachers, with 32 of them have advanced qualifications. The maximum class size is 28 students in regular classes and in the classes that participate in the program of the International Baccalaureate Organization, IBO, only 15 students. A total of 507 students attend the school. 65 of these be part of the IBO program.

Special

The Lyceum takes part in the 1997 International Baccalaureate Organization program and awards the International Baccalaureate Diploma. In grades 9-12, students learn in three groups (depending on the grade point average ). Under the Charter of the school they can beneath a section of 7.5 ( maximum is 10) are expelled from school. The usual conclusion is the High School.
