Vinni
Vinni ( born February 3, 1976 in Arendal, Norway, Øyvind Sauvik real name ), also Vincent ( Vinni ) Vagabond, is a Norwegian singer and rapper. Since 1998 he is one half of the hip-hop duo Paperboys.
Biography
Together with Ole Aleksander Halstensgård forms Vinni since 2002, the Norwegian hip-hop project Paperboys. The two had several top ten hits. Since 2009, Vinni dedicated solo projects.
In 2009, Vinni on the TV show Det store korslaget in part, in which the participating musicians spearheaded a team of their home community and thus competed against one another. Vinnis group of Kolbotn reached # 5 As a result of the TV show The Paperboys Lonesome Traveller song became so popular that the original shortly thereafter debuted at No. 1 on the charts and 24 weeks remained in the Norwegian Top 20. With quadruple platinum she was the most successful Norwegian single of the year.
Then Sauvik launched a project named Vinni & the Vagabonds, with whom he released the album Happily Lost 2010.
Another TV appearance had Vinni in January 2012 in the show hver gang vi Motes. It met seven Norwegian musician. Each episode was dedicated to each one of them and the other six were singing in their own interpretations of his songs. In episode 1 Vinni Sommerfuggel i sang Vinterland ( Butterfly in Winter ) of singer-songwriter Halfdan Sivertsen. His hip-hop version of the 25 -year-old ballad about immigrants in Norway was a great success and was followed by five weeks number one in the charts. In the final episode he performed then Godmorgen Norge Øystein Dolmen, part of the successful especially in the 1970s and 1980s duo Knutsen & Ludvigsen ( Knutsen was Dolmens artist name), as reggae. With this admission, he detached itself at # 1 on the Norwegian charts.
At the same time he also presented his first hip- hop album done under the stage name Vinni. The pre-release single Halve meg rose in mid-April 2012, at No. 4, which he was represented with three songs simultaneously in the Norwegian charts. The album Oppvåkningen appeared in the autumn of the year and debuted at # 1 on the charts.
