Virgil Earp

Virgil Walter Earp ( born July 18, 1843 in Hartford, Kentucky; † 19 October 1905 Goldfield, Nevada ) was a Deputy United States Marshal.

He became famous for his involvement in the Gunfight at the OK Corral, along with Doc Holliday and his two brothers Wyatt and Morgan Earp, in which he was seriously injured. He is like his brother Wyatt is now an American legend. 1905 Virgil Earp was hired as sheriff of the town of Goldfield Nevada. He died several months later of pneumonia. His brother Wyatt Earp, who also was in Goldfield, then left the city.
