Virginia Cavalry FC

The Virginia Cavalry FC is an American football franchise from Ashburn in the U.S. state of Virginia. Was founded the team in 2012. During the season 2014, it will start the game operating in the North American Soccer League.

History

On 20 November 2012, the NASL announced the expansion will enter a team from Virginia for the 2014 season in the league.

To select the name, a name the team contest was held. In the first round could be any name desired. In the second could be selected between the three who had received in the first round the most votes. These were Cavalry, Dominian and Stallions. At a press conference on February 6, 2013 it was announced that has received the most votes from the name Cavalry and the team will therefore bear the name Virginia Cavalry FC.

Stadium

• Edelman Financial Field; Ashburn, Virginia ( since 2014)

The Cavalry will deliver their games at the newly built Edelman Financial Field in Ashburn. The stadium has a capacity of 5,500 spectators. The baseball team Loudoun Hounds of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball is also unsubscribe their games also.
