Virginia Spencer Carr

Virginia Spencer Carr ( born July 21, 1929 in West Palm Beach, Florida, † April 10, 2012 in Lynn, Massachusetts) was an American literary scholar.

Life

1969 Carr received his doctorate at Florida State University.

More than 25 years she taught as a professor at Columbus State University and Georgia State University in Atlanta. 1980/81 taught as part of the Fulbright Program in Poland.

She has written award-winning biographies of Carson McCullers, John Dos Passos and Paul Bowles.
