VIS Entertainment

VIS Entertainment PLC is a former Scottish game developers. The company was founded in 1996 by Chris van der Kuyl and Peter Baillie as VIS Interactive PLC. The company was renamed in 2000.

In addition to computer games, the company also created content for iTV. VIS Entertainment PLC ' was composed of VIS games together as Axis Animation and VIS iTV. In 1999, the development team at Stainless Software has been integrated into the company.

The company had 200 employees at its two locations, the main facility in Dundee and a branch on the Isle of Wight. 2001, the development studio was spun on the Isle of Wight as Stainless Games again.

The company worked closely with BAM! Entertainment together and took over in May 2004, the London studio, which was later closed. On 7 April 2005 VIS filed for bankruptcy. Later that month, all development work has been canceled and sold to other companies.
