Visakhapatnam ( Telugu: విశాఖపట్నం; Vishakhapatnam or Vizag too ) is a port city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh with 1.7 million inhabitants. The city is one of the fastest growing centers in India and Special Economic Zone.
Visakhapatnam has a university, a naval base of the Indian armed forces, petroleum refining, fertilizer industry, steel mill and shipyard industry.
The city can be used as a starting point for tours to famous on India's borders Borra Caves or the Araku Valley.
