Visi On

Visi On was a graphical user interface of the company VisiCorp for MS -DOS.

Visi On was first publicly demonstrated at Comdex 1982. The first official version which had been developed for MS- DOS 2.0, was released in December 1983. This Visi On was the first graphical interface for the IBM PC.

It ran on computers with Intel 8086 processor and demanded a hard disk with at least 5 MB of memory, as well as 512 KB of memory. Furthermore demanded Visi On a CGA graphics card on which it was running at a resolution of 640 × 200 in monochrome mode. To operate a mouse was necessary.

Visi On already brought some applications VisiOn Word, VisiOn graph and VisiOn Calc ( not to be confused with VisiCalc ). It was possible to perform a plurality of application programs simultaneously. However, Visi On is unable to perform normal DOS applications.
