Visočica hill

Visočica ( [ ʋisɔtʃitsa ] ), also Brdo degrees ( [ br̩dɔ ɡrad ], "Hill City ") is a 767 m high mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The mountain seems to have made ​​a pyramid-like symmetry of different points and was therefore known as one of the Bosnian Pyramids, the buildings should be of a past civilization after a rejected by most scientists theory.

Location

The forested hill is about 500 meters south of the outskirts of Visoko, about 20 kilometers northwest of Sarajevo. The Visočica rises about 200 meters to their surrounding countryside and has particularly to the northeast and northwest on conspicuous ridges, giving it a pyramid- like appearance.

Geology

The Visočica is breccia, a sedimentary rock that has been deposited here as rest a 7 million- year-old lake and was later pushed into the air. The rock forms platy and angular lumps so total also arises the square shape of the hill.

History
