Vitória F.C.

Vitória Setúbal, officially called Vitória Futebol Clube is a football club based in Setúbal, whose team plays in the Portuguese league, the Primeira Liga. In addition to football, the following sports are practiced Aikido, Handball, Athletics, Judo, Gymnastics and Gymnastics, Motor Sports, chess and table tennis.

History

The club was founded in 1910. In the 1960s, Vitória FC celebrated the greatest success by four times stood in the final of the Portuguese Cup, of which it won the title twice. The last success was achieved in the 2004/05 season, when the Portuguese Cup was won by a 2-1 win against Benfica. In the season 2005/ 06 they also moved to the Cup Final against FC Porto, but lost this 1-0.

Their home ground is called the Estádio do Bonfim and holds 21,400 spectators.

Felix Mourinho was here goalkeeper before he led the club as a coach in the 1980/81 season back in the Primeira Liga. His son, the famous coach Jose Mourinho played here briefly as a child. It indicates, moreover, to be never been privately owned trailer one of the three big clubs in the country but until today Vitória Setúbal to press as the club of his youth and his home town of the thumb.
