Vivente Rege
The term Vivente Rege (Latin for the lifetime of the king) called the election of a new king, usually from the ranks of their own dynasty, during the reign of the current king.
The Polish king John II Casimir was towards the end of his reign a strong representative of the Vivente regulation, but his reforms was prevented by the Lubomirski confederation, as they feared an emergence of absolutist form of government in Poland - Lithuania.
