Vlad Munteanu

Vlad Munteanu ( born January 16, 1981 in Bacău, Bacău county ) is a former Romanian football player and current official.

Association

Munteanu played in youth at FCM Bacau. At age 19 he moved to Dinamo Bucharest giants. In 2001 he took his first title with Dinamo and was cup winners. By 2006, the midfielder took with the capital club two championships and three cup wins and played several rounds of the UEFA Cup. Until the second half of the 2004/05 season, where he was loaned to FC Naţional Bucharest, he played 94 times for Dinamo in the first Romanian League.

In 2006, the Romanian football league in the newly promoted Energie Cottbus. He scored a total of eleven goals there in 33 games for the Lausitz.

In July 2007, he signed with league rivals VfL Wolfsburg a four-year contract. But after half a year he was the team's comprehensive reconstruction of coach Felix Magath victim and so he changed the end of January on loan to France for AJ Auxerre. For the season 2008/ 09 he returned to expired loan to Wolfsburg back. During the winter break of 2008/ 09 season, he was loaned to Arminia Bielefeld, where he came up 15 times in the second half. Vlad Munteanu has been once appointed to the Romanian national football team. He played on 21 August 2002 against Greece. He also scored a goal in eight games for Romania U- 21st
