Vladimír Caldr

Vladimír Caldr (* November 26, 1958 in Pisek, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player and current coach.

Career

Vladimír Caldr began his career as a hockey player with the TJ Motor České Budějovice, for the seniors team, he was active from 1975 to 1986 in the first league, the highest Czechoslovak league. He then played one year for the league rivals Dukla Jihlava ASD before he again ran aground 1987-1989 for the TJ Motor České Budějovice. From 1989 to 1991 the defender was standing at the Amstel Tijgers Amsterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie under contract. In the season 1992/93 he first ran for the HC Stadion Hradec Králové in the first ČNHL, the second highest Czechoslovak league, on, before he was in the rest of the season in Germany for the ERC Ingolstadt of the fourth-class hockey Regional on the ice.

In the 1993/94 season was Caldr täig both as a player and as an assistant coach for his hometown club HC České Budějovice in the newly established by division of Czechoslovakia Czech Extraliga. He also came to several inserts for the HC Tábor in the second Czech league. For the 1994/95 season the Olympians changed from 1984 complete in the coaching staff of České Budějovice, before he served as head coach for the team from 1995 to 1998. For the 1999/2000 season, he took over together with Jiří Kalou's office as the head coach at Extraliga HC Slavia Prague - participants. When the club was only in eleventh place in the table after ten game days, but both were dismissed again.

Internationally

For Czechoslovakia Caldr took part in the U20 World Junior Championships in 1977 and 1978 at junior level. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1983 and 1986 and at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo in 1984 and the Canada Cup. In the 1984 FIFA World Cup in 1983 and the Winter Olympics, he won with his team the silver medal each.
