Vladimír Leitner

Vladimír Leitner ( born June 28, 1974 in Žilina) is a Slovak football player. The defender has since June 2006 when MŠK Žilina under contract.

Club career

Leitner played in his youth for MŠK Žilina. When MŠK Žilina he also received his first professional contract and played between 1992 and 1996 for the first team. The next stop was for four years the FC Spartak Trnava, with whom he was in the Slovakian Cup Winners 1997/98 season. Then Leitner played four years with the Czech FK Teplice, where he was Czech Cup Winners' Cup with the team in the season 2002/ 03. 2004 Leitner joined the Slovak club FK Dukla Banská Bystrica. In the season 2004/ 05 he was again Slovakian Cup winner with the team. In June 2006, Leitner moved to MŠK Žilina, where he initially signed a two -year contract. With MŠK Žilina he won the Slovak Championship titles in 2007 and 2010.

National

Leitner graduated 21 games for the U-21 team Slovakia as well as 25 caps for the senior team Slovakia and scored a goal for the senior team.
