Vladimir Toguzov

Vladimir Taimurasowitsch Togusow ( born August 31, 1966 in Poznari, Reg Wielkopolski / Poland) is a Soviet and Ukrainian wrestler. He was twice European champion and won at the Olympic Games 1988, a bronze medal in the free style flyweight.

Career

Vladimir Togusow began as a teenager in 1981 with the rings. He was then living in North Ossetion and became a member of the Sport Club Dynamo Ordzhonikidze (now Vladikavkaz ). In Ukraine, he went for Champion Kiev at the start. His coach was there Boris Sawlochow. He focused entirely on the free style and wrestled or wrestles always flyweight (since 2002 bantamweight ). In his international career Ringer, which lasted until 1996, he launched until 1991 for the Soviet Union in 1992 for the CIS and since 1993 for Ukraine. After 1996 he went to Germany and fought first for the KSV meadow valley, then for the AC Goldbach and since 2002 for the KSV Köllerbach. He now owns the German citizenship and was also in the 2010/11 season still in the Koeller Bacher Bundesliga team and at the age of 44 years. How strong he is, despite his age still, he proved in January 2010, when he defeated the internationally successful German champion Marcel Ewald on points. On 9 October 2010, he lost in the rematch against Marcel Ewald barely 2:3 rounds. In 2007, he took with him 41 years again to Ukrainian championships and arrived there after a victory over Gevorg Margaryan and a defeat against Volodymyr Dubowoi to 3rd place.

At the beginning of his international career wrestler Vladimir Togusow occupied at the Junior World Championship 1985 in Colorado Springs flyweight behind the Bulgarians Ivan Zonow the 2nd place. In 1986, he was employed by the Soviet Wrestling Federation at the World Championships in Budapest, reached there but only the 6th Place. On the next start he won the European Championship silver medal at the European Championships in Veliko Tarnovo / Bulgaria. In the final, however, he had to tolerate a clear 4:11 points defeat by Valentin Yordanov of Bulgaria. Yordanov was later in the career of the main rival of Vladimir Togusow where he failed again and again. Also in the 1987 World Championships in Clermont- Ferrand it was. Vladimir Togusow lost there in the semi-final against Yordanov and occupied at this World Cup 4th Place.

In 1988, Vladimir Togusow was European Vice-Champion in Manchester again. In the final, he lost it again against Valentin Yordanov. At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, he could then place before Yordanov, who finished only eighth place. The gold medal won there Mitsuru Sato of the Japanese before Saban Trstena from Yugoslavia. Vladimir Togusow won the bronze medal.

In the Ringer's European Championships 1989, he was not at the start. at the World Championships in Martigny / Switzerland he was in the final battle again Valentin Yordanov against and lost that fight clearly with 1:7 on points. However, the profit of the Vice World Champion title was his greatest international success so far. In 1990 he was again Vice-European Champion in Poznan. In the final, he lost it against Saban Trstena from Yugoslavia. At the European Championships in 1991 in Stuttgart Vladimir Togusow won his first international title. He was European champion and defeated there in the final Stanislaw Kaczmarek from Germany just after points. In 1991, he won then also at the World Championships in Varna a medal. He lost the semi-final again against Valentin Yordanov, but this defeat was relatively scarce with 6:9 points and shows that the fight was pretty even.

In 1992 he went to the CIS at the Olympic Games in Barcelona. After a defeat in his first fight against Valentin Yordanov he still won against Shane Stannett from Australia, but this victory brought him only on the 11th place. Since 1993 Vladimir Togusow launched for Ukraine. In the international championships this year but he was not he, but Mikhail Kushnir used.

In 1994 he was at the World Championships in Istanbul at the start. He reached there but only the 11th Place. Because of the poor source material from those years is not known, against whom he lost it, what had his early exit result. 1995 represented again Mikhail Kushnir the Ukrainian colors. At the 1996 European Championships in Budapest Vladimir Togusow then won the title for the second time. In the semifinals, he defeated it Namig Abdullayev from Azerbaijan with 3:1 points and in the final, he won over Ivan Zonow from Bulgaria 5-3 points. At the end of his international career he began in 1996 once again participate in the Olympics. In Atlanta, but he managed only one victory over Omar Kedjaour from Algeria.
