Vladimir Trofimenko

Vladimir Trofimenko (Russian: Владимир Трофименко; born March 22, 1953 in Sysran ) is a former Russian track and field athlete, who competed for the Soviet Union. At a height of 1.85 m his competition weight was 73 kg.

In 1976 his only Trofimenko Soviet Championship title in the pole vault. In 1977, he was charged with 5.50 meters of third parties at the Universiade. At the European Indoor Championships 1978 in Milan, he won silver with 5.40 meters behind Poland's Tadeusz Ślusarski with 5.45 meters. In the summer of 1978 at the European Championships 1978, he won with 5.55 meters in front of the Finn Antti Kalliomäki and rauli Pudas. At the European Indoor Championships in Vienna in 1979 he won with 5.45 meters bronze behind Poland's Władysław Kozakiewicz and his compatriot Konstantin Volkov. In the summer of 1979 he was again second in the Soviet Cup in 1977.

His personal best of 5.61 meters from the year 1978.
