Vladimir Vlasov

Vladimir Alexandrovich Vlasov ( born December 24, 1902jul / January 6 1903greg in Moscow, .. † September 7, 1986 ibid ) was a Russian composer.

Vlasov studied until 1929 at the Moscow Conservatory Violin with Abraham Jampolski and composition with Georgi Catoire and Nikolai Schiljajew. From 1926 to 1936 he was a composer and conductor at the Moscow Art Theatre МХАТ 2 From 1936 to 1942 he headed the Kyrgyz National Opera in Frunze, together with Abdylas Maldybaew and Vladimir Fere Georgijewitsch he is regarded as the founder of classical Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Music. From 1943 to 1949 he worked as a conductor and artistic director of the Moscow Philharmonic.

In addition to twelve operas and ballets seven, he wrote mainly together with Fere, he composed an operetta, three symphonic poems, two orchestral overtures, a string suite, two cello concertos, chamber music, oratorios, cantatas, songs and incidental music.
