Vlčí

Vlčí ( German Wölfling ) is a municipality with a population of 63 in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers north-east of Švihov and belongs to Okres Plzeň -jih. The land area is 401 hectares.

Geography

The place is located in 483 m above sea level. M. Potok at the source of Vlčí, a right tributary of the Úhlava. Vlčí is surrounded by wooded hills, the highest of the 556 m high Velky les in the north.

Neighboring towns are Stropčice in the West, Zálesí in the north, Horšice in the northeast, Lužanská Nová Ves, Nová Ves and Kbel in the south and Kaliště in the southwest.

History

Vlčí was first documented in 1355. By the middle of the 20th century belonged to the village of the district Lužanská Nová Ves ( Neudorf bei Luschan ), which is part of Kbel today.
