Vo Chi Cong

Võ Chí Công ( born August 7, 1912 in Tam Xuan, Tam Kỳ district, Quang Nam province, † September 8, 2011 in Ho Chi Minh City) was a Vietnamese communist politician and president.

As early as 1930 against the French occupation of Vietnam politically active, was Võ Chí Công 1961 Founding member of the National Liberation Front. After the reunification of Vietnam, he received a seat on the Politburo of the Communist Party and held various ministerial posts (fisheries, agriculture), before he became Deputy Prime Minister ( 1976-1982 ), and finally from 1987 to 1992, the President of Vietnam was.
