Vocal Sampling

Vocal Sampling is a six-man a cappella ensemble from Cuba. It is known for its a cappella reactions of Latin American music, mostly salsa, rumba and Son Cubano, where the musicians all typical for these genres Instruments - imitate with their voices - including percussion, brass instruments and double bass.

History

The six band members met during their studies at the National Conservatory of Music in Havana know. Published in 1995, Vocal Sampling their first album "Una Forma Mas ". In 1996, she played at the Montreux Jazz Festival to celebrate the 50th year anniversary of the musician Quincy Jones. Since then, they perform regularly at international festivals. On the Heimatklänge Festival in Berlin in 2000, they recorded their third album and first live album. In 2005, she appeared on, among other things at the International Festival of Vocal Music in Leipzig.

Their fourth album, " Cambio de Tiempo " was nominated for three 2002 Grammy Awards.

Vocal Sampling is at the Cuban label EGREM under contract.
