Vogue Records

Vogue Records was an American record label in the 1940s.

History

Vogue Records was in the 1940s, a short-lived record label in the U.S.. It became famous especially due to the artistic design of your vinyl. The label was founded in 1946 as part of the Group Sav - Way Industries, Detroit ( Michigan). The records were initially for a one hit because they were elaborately crafted color image plates, but on the other hand, because their sound was better than that of the then dominant shellac records. The plates were prepared by first optionally printed illustrations on both sides of an aluminum core and then both sides were covered with a transparent vinyl, in which the grooves were then pressed. The company ceased production but already after one year, after 67-74 ( the sources give different figures at ) published double-sided 78UpM records. Some of these plates were reissues of recordings that were originally released by other companies.

Due to the artistic design of the Vogue Records- records are sought-after collectibles today.
