Volker Kempe

Volker Kempe ( born July 1, 1939 in Berlin ) is a German -Austrian former scientists, managers and entrepreneurs.

Life and education

The son of a commercial employees, which it had with his mother through the chaos of war to Brunn, a district of Auerbach in the Vogtland, devious, visited in 1953, the high school in Karl- Marx-Stadt. After the 11th grade, he was (ABF ) delegated to the workers 'and peasants' faculty to Halle (Saale ), where he graduated from high school and was preparing to study abroad.

From 1957 to 1963 Kempe studied physics and communication communications engineering at the Moscow Institute ( Московский Энергетический Институт ), he received his degree with honors. 1968, he submitted his dissertation Dr. -Ing. At the Technical University of Dresden, from which it is rated Summa Cum Laude. Another dissertation on Dr.sc.nat. on the theory of stochastic systems (two books) followed in 1976.

Kempe in 1978 professor of communications and control technology at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR to the nominated member, he was appointed in 1986. Two years later he was also nominated member of the International Academy of Astronautics ( IAA).

Career

Kempe was a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany, and in April 1986 a delegate of the XI. Party Congress of the SED.

From 1977 to 1990 he was director of the Central Institute of Cybernetics and Information Processes of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR with more than 600 employees, 1990-2003 Engineering Manager of the Austrian ams AG, 2003 Co-founder and Engineering Manager of the Austrian sensor Dynamics AG. He is the author of over 100 scientific publications and more than 20 patents, four scientific books and five scientific anthologies, editor of four scientific journals. Member of several program committees of international conferences, such as ESSCIRC and DTIP.

Kempe is married to a native Muscovite, who he met during his studies. They have two daughters.
