Volker Vogeler

Volker Vogeler (* June 27, 1930 in Bad Polzin, † April 16, 2005 in Hamburg ) was a German film director and screenwriter.

Biography

Vogeler put 1951 in Dresden, graduated from high school and then worked in various jobs including as farm workers. Later he studied at the Humboldt University in Berlin and then at the University of Göttingen philosophy, history and German. From 1956 to 1958 he worked at the Institute of Film and Television in Munich, before he found in various professions work, for example in the mining industry and as a lumberjack. Later he became a screenwriter and as a director of industrial films, documentaries and television director as a name.

His television film debut was in 1967 with the image. After 1967, followed by many more movies and episodes of the crime series like the 200 screenplays for The Old Man. In 1971 he founded with other auteurs of the New German Cinema, the film published by the authors. Volker Vogeler died on 16 April 2005 in Hamburg.
