VW Passat CC (2008-2012)
The VW CC - until early 2012 VW Passat CC - is a four-door coupe of the Volkswagen brand. The first generation of the CC was made based on the VW Passat ( Typ 3C ) and the VW plant in Emden.
The vehicle was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show 2008 the public. The Passat CC is positioned between the Passat and VW Phaeton. The market launch in Europe took place in May 2008, in the United States half a year later.
Terms of dimensions, the vehicle opposite the Passat saloon is characterized by a flatter roof (-50 mm), a greater width ( 36 mm ) and a wider track front ( 11 mm) and rear ( 16 mm). The luggage compartment volume of 532 liters and can be expanded by folding down the rear seats. The design shows a gently sloping C-pillar and frameless side windows. The platform complies - with few exceptions - the Passat sedan. The Passat CC has been offered at prices starting at 30,575 euros. Prices for the CC in the current model 2014 start at 32,300 euros.
The additional designation CC stands for Comfort Coupe. In some countries ( eg USA, South Africa), the model is marketed as the Volkswagen CC. This name is also used in Germany and the accomplished in February 2012 facelift. In China, the model will continue to be marketed as Magotan CC.
Innovations
The security level was compared to the Passat sedan raised by some new and active and passive safety electronic systems on.
Other innovations are available, most of which were also included in the other Passat variants. These include an adaptive cruise control that automatically maintains a preset speed-dependent distance to the vehicle ahead in the speed range of 30 to 210 km / h, the Park Assist -called, self -directing parking aid and according to VW, the world's first actively engaging in the steering lane keeping assistant Lane Assist, the captured with a camera road markings and automatically directs against before leaving a trace. This camera detects when driving at night whilst constantly monitoring the traffic situation and controls the variable Xenon light distribution by means of the system Dynamic Light Assist ( DLA). Also available are a rearview camera, a hard-drive navigation system, mobile phone preparation with SAP and a multimedia socket.
Also new are the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC ) above, adaptive shock absorbers that can be connected in one of three modes Normal, Sport or Comfort means of selector switch. In addition, the shock absorbers are automatically adjusted while driving within the characteristic field of the activated mode of road conditions. Likewise, the steering response is aligned with the selected mode.

Motors
The engine range includes two petrol and at the beginning of a diesel engine. Later, the diesel segment was added (170 hp) to a version with 125 kW. The gap between the entry-level petrol engine and the V6 flagship model is powered by a 2- liter gasoline engine with 155 kW ( 211 hp) filled. The top model is a 3.6 -liter six- cylinder petrol engine and comes standard with a dual clutch transmission (DSG ) and the 4Motion all-wheel drive.
