Volkswagen Group MLB platform

The modular longitudinal matrix, short MLB, is a platform concept with built along the direction of travel powertrain ( engine and transmission) of Volkswagen AG. This kit has been developed by Audi and is used there since 2007.

Advantageously, the fact that the reaction torque of the motor when the load changes do not support the pitching of the body, caused by the deceleration and acceleration of the vehicle, but perpendicular to it are, which increases the driving comfort significantly.

The modular transverse matrix (MQB ) is a platform concept with the front transverse engine and gearbox from Volkswagen AG.

The modular production kit ( MPB) is introduced simultaneously with the MQB to standardize the production of component parts and assemblies in the works of Volkswagen AG.
