Vranov (Tachov District)

Vranov ( German Wranowa ) is a municipality with 124 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004) in the Czech Republic. It is located 3 km east of Stříbro at an altitude of 392 m asl

The village is located at the upper end of the reservoir Hracholusky creek between the junctions of Petrský and Sytenský creek in the Mies. The resort has a campground.

History

The first mention of Wranowa dates from the year in 1231. Gepfarrt was Wranowa by Mies. 1939 147 people lived in the place. In 1960, the municipality Svinná district of Vranov. On April 30, 1976, an annexation to the city Stříbro, since 1 January 1992 Vranov is again an independent municipality.
