Øvre Eiker

Øvre Eiker is a municipality in Buskerud Fylke in Norway. It borders Kongsberg, Flesberg, Sigdal, Modum, Lier, Nedre Eiker and yard. It was divided on 1 July 1885 by its neighboring municipality Nedre Eiker. Up to this time there was a common community called Eiker.
About half of the inhabitants of the municipality lives in Hokksund, while the rest live in small towns Vestfossen, Skotselv, Ormåsen and Darbu. Together with Nedre Eiker, the municipality is part of the Eiker landscape along the Drammen River.
