Vreme

Vreme ( Time ) is a weekly news magazine, published since 29 October 1990. Originally Belgrade and Rijeka (Yugoslavia) Spawns, after a short time only Belgrade; Vreme appears in Latin letters. The number of copies specified in the 1990s, with 30,000, more than 25 % of which were sold abroad.

First editor was Zoran Jeličić, today is Vojislav Milošević publisher and editor in chief of Dragoljub Žarković. From 1990 to 2005, the Vreme regularly contained caricatures of " Corax " ( Predrag Koraksic, * 1933). Other famous people are or were Dušan Reljić, Milos Vasic and Stojan Cerović.

Since 31 May 1994, the international edition Vreme International, which is mainly driven by the publisher Vreme International GmbH in Vienna in Western Europe and printed in Ljubljana appears.

The Vreme was in the Milošević era as the most important independent media in Serbia and as a reliable source of information that was often cited in Western media. Since September 1991, the news agency Vreme NDA will, among other things for this run ( for News Digest Agency), the English-language translations of articles Vreme makes available electronically.
