The Vychegda (Russian Вычегда, komi Ежва ( Eschwa ) ) is a 1130 km long right tributary of the Northern Dvina in the north of European Russia.

It rises about 310 km to the west of the Northern Ural Mountains in the far southeast of the Timanrückens and flows from there quite strongly meandering first south and then in a westerly direction over Syktyvkar to Solvychegodsk; The latter is located about 20 km northeast of Kotlas. There the river flows into the Northern Dvina. About 800 km of the river course are navigable.
