Vyjayanthimala

Vyjayantimala (actually Vyjayantimala Bali; born August 13, 1936 in Madras, Tamil Nadu ) is an Indian actress. It is the first all-India star from South India, and this established the need for an actress to have to be a good dancer.

Her film debut was in 1949 in Vyjayantimala a Tamil movie. The Bollywood remake of this film was also her first appearance in the Hindi film. Your breakthrough role as a dancer in Bimal Roy's Devdas (1955 ) on the side of Dilip Kumar. For this she received the Filmfare Award / Best Supporting Actress.

To stardom Bimal Roy's Madhumati she came in (1958) and in the role of a prostitute in BR Chopra's Sadhna (1958 ), for which she received her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Vyjayantimala is three times winner of the Filmfare Award / Best Actress, 1995, she received the Filmfare Award / life's work. After her marriage in 1968 she left the film business. She was elected in the 1980s, twice for the Congress Party in the Indian Parliament.
