Guard Roth is a market in the Middle Franconian district of Erlangen - Hochstadt. The place is located about 20 kilometers northwest of Erlangen, close to the A3 motorway in the valley of the rich Ebrach on the southern edge of the Steigerwald.

History
Incorporations
On May 1, 1978, the incorporation of the municipality Weingartsgreuth done with the localities book field, Horbach and Warmersdorf in the course of municipal reform. On 1 January 1982 key field area of the city were added ( Bamberg County ).

The blazon is: Azure, a continuous silver pewter wall, topped with a golden labels, is one with a silver oblique bar of covered, red reinforced black lion; about him growing a red -clad attendants who encounters in a silver horn on his head a red pointed hat with silver face plate; in the green sign foot a silver wave beams in two fed turned red crabs.
