Wacholder

The juniper spirit is a spirit flavored with juniper. He is prepared, inter alia in Westphalia, in the Emsland district, in the Westerwald, in Lippe and the Rhineland. One of the oldest still active juniper distillery is one of the distillery, founded in the 18th century Eversbusch in Hagen.

In Austria and parts of Bavaria the gin is known as cranes Witter.

The juniper schnapps include in a broader sense Bergila, genever, gin, Kom, cranes Witter, Krambambuli, almond and Steinhäger. A gin with Borovička name is very popular in Slovakia and Czech Republic. In Belgium also Genièvre and PEQUET are known.
