Wadi al Ahmar

The Wadi al -Ahmar ( German: Red Valley ) is a valley floor near the coast of the Great Sirte in Libya Munizip Surt.

Location

It is located 30 km west of on - Nufalija and 90 kilometers east of Sirte. Next settlements are Harawa (20 km west of the valley ) and Marsa al - Uwajya (25 km east).

History

During the civil war in Libya took place in the valley near the coast road to fighting on March 28, 2011. The site is considered to be mined and as a strategically important gateway to Sirte.
