Wakanosato Shinobu

Wakanosato Shinobu, Japanese若 の 里忍, actually Shinobu Kogawa ,古 川 忍(* July 10, 1976 in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture) is a Japanese sumo wrestler.

Wakanosato is a fighter of Naruto Beya. He began in March 1992 his career under his birth name Kogawa and reached in November 1997 juryo Division. On this occasion he took the combat name ( Shikona ) " Wakanosato ", a combination of the Shikona his equerry and his equerry.

In May 1998 he made his Makuuchi debut and was soon able to rise to the top maegashira ranks.
