Wala people

The Wala (also: Waali, Wali ) are a people in Ghana with about 138,000 (2003 ) members. The language of the Wala is the Wali of the group of Gur languages. The Wala live at 10 degrees north latitude and west of the second meridian west longitude to the west of Ghana. They are neighbors Birifor, Dagaare and Vagla. Capital and seat of the King ( Wa Na) of Wala Wa, the capital of the Upper West Region.
