The site covers an area of 0.4 km ².

History

Near the village crossed about 1541, the first European to see the Mississippi River. Much later, the town was founded by German immigrants. In the population census in 2000, however, was not like in the north adjacent areas " German " but " American" is the most common lineage specification, suggesting a strong even in historical times mixing of different immigrant groups.
