Wálter Guimarães

Walter Guimarães, ( born 21 March 1912 in Rio de Janeiro, † 1997), better known as Waldyr, was a Brazilian football player.

Career

The midfielder played in the 1930s for Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro and won with the club in 1933 and in 1934 the Campeonato Carioca.

He played six matches in the jersey of the Brazilian national team and was in the squad for the World Cup 1934 in Italy.
