Walter McGrail

Walter McGrail (* October 19, 1888 in Brooklyn, New York, † March 19 1970 in San Francisco, California ) was an American film actor.

Life

Walter McGrail came early to the movie and acted in leading film roles after 1915 at the latest. In the initial phase of his career McGrail was predominantly occupied as type, he often portrayed overbearing Wohlstandssprößlinge. In the 1920s he became the character actor. However, the dark-haired actor was still often used in the roller tray and put many Latino represents the Latin American and Southern Europeans - sometimes good, sometimes bad. In the sound film era McGrail was mainly pushed back on the status of the supporting role actor. As such, he acted for example, 1936 or 1939/40, in several classics of film genres: the Western, the hero of the prairie by Cecil B. Before he retired from film, McGrail had several guest appearances on television shows, most recently in 1953 in a Cisco Kid series, a remake of the classic western serials.
