Walter Poppe (footballer)

Walter Poppe (* March 5, 1886, † June 24, 1951 ) was a German football player.

In his club career Poppe played for Eintracht Braunschweig. With the Brunswickers he was in 1908 Northern German masters.

On April 20, 1910 at Poppe played 1:5 against England in Berlin, his only game. He was the first national player in the club's history Eintracht Braunschweig. This first international match against England was also the first home game of the German national football team and their overall second game ever.
