Walter Richter

Walter Richter ( born May 13, 1905 in Berlin, † 26 July 1985 in Vienna ) was a German actor and radio speaker.

Life and work

The son of a merchant received for a traineeship at Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung, among others, Ferdinand Gregori acting lessons. From 1931 on, he stepped on stage on in Bremerhaven, Gera, Breslau, Cologne and Stuttgart. From 1939 to 1941 he acted at the Municipal Theatre of Frankfurt am Main. 1941 to 1950 he played at the Deutsches Theater Berlin next 1942 to 1945 at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna.

After the Second World War he worked in Zurich and from 1953 in Munich. Here he was appointed state actors and actresses chamber. He was known primarily as a worm in Intrigue and Love and as the title character in Gerhart Hauptmann Fuhrmann Henschel.

The busy stage actor Richter was a wide audience as postmaster in the movie Dunja (1955 ) and especially as a crime scene Commissioner of ARD known.
