Wanda Klaff

Wanda Klaff ( born March 6, 1922 in Gdansk, † July 4, 1946 ibid ) was a camp guard.

Life

Her father Ludwig Kalaciński was a railway employee and called himself since 1941 Kalden. In 1938, she left school and worked in a jam factory. In 1942 she married Willy Klaff and became a housewife and a streetcar.

In 1944 she became matron in sub bearing Praust ( Pruszcz Gdański ) of the Stutthof concentration camp. From October, she worked in sub bearing Russo Schin in the same function. In early 1945, she fled from the camp. In June of the same year, she was arrested at the home of her parents. Because typhus she first came to the prison hospital.

During the first process Stutthof in Gdansk she is alleged to have stated: "I was very clever and cunning and well suited for work in the camp. I hit every day at least two prisoners. "Together with Elisabeth Becker, Gerda Steinhoff, Ewa Paradies and Jenny Wanda Barkmann she was publicly executed in July 1946 on the Biskupia Górka.
